Find out About Nursing and Midwifery
- Workplace learning
Workplace learning programs for school students provide opportunities to see and experience first hand what nursing and midwifery work is all about.
Please note that, as a pre-requisite to undertaking workplace learning programs such as work experience, students must comply with the requirements of the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy and, at their own cost, provide evidence of protection against all specified infectious diseases and documentation of their TB status.
- Hospital tours
Hospital tours and open days introduce people to the health care environment in which nurses and midwives work.
- Nursing observation
Nursing observation programs are for those who have already left school, enabling them to receive limited and supervised exposure to nurses and midwives at work.
